Crazy Ideas!
Crazy Idea:
Sometime this morning, during the lecture on human development, I had a crazy idea: I can run for state representatives in 2004. The crazy part is that I just might win! I am good at public speaking, and I can say exactly what I think because I don’t have any interest groups to please and I have nothing to loose politically. I’ll think more about this.
Another Idea:
A lobbying group comprised of former exchange students! What would the agenda of these people be? International Exposure, of course. WHO has been a foreign-exchange student. Clinton-Oxford. Many people from all around the world are educated in the USA.
Dear Mr. Clinton,
My name is William. I am a student at Long Island University’s Friend’s World program, at the campus in Bangalore, India. In researching human development in India, I noticed that you are very well-respected by the Indian people. You were instrumental in gathering financial aid for the victims of the Earthquake in Gujarati. You’ve also spoke strongly about alerting India to wakeup to the dangers of the looming AIDS crisis.
I think that foreign exposure is crucially important for people. Living abroad--in Ecuador, Nicaragua, Chile, Brazil, and India certainly made me who I am. You must know something about this, having been a Rhodes Scholar exchange-student yourself. So, I was wondering if you’d like to meet for coffee to share your thoughts about India and living abroad. I will be in New York from December 16 until December 17, and that would be a good time.
If you want, you can read more about my experiences and thoughts at my web-page: wmjs.com Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
William Suk
